Dear WVU Graduates and Families,

Let me be one of the first to congratulate you on your graduation from West Virginia University and the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

For some of you, you are carrying on a family legacy of WVU graduates. Some of you are the first in your family to earn a degree. No matter the circumstance, this is a truly momentous occasion worthy of celebration.

As you begin this next leg of your journey, I hope you feel confident and prepared to use your skills to better the world. Our faculty and staff have provided you with a strong foundation and important connections that will serve you well into the future.

Today is your day. You have worked hard. Savor each photograph, each special moment with friends and family, and most of all, take time to reflect on your journey as a Mountaineer. You are prepared to share your experiences and passion for your field with others. And remember, you always have a home at West Virginia University. We want you to return to campus, share your experiences with our Davis students and help us ensure we are providing the very best courses and experiences that reflect the changing landscape of your field.
