MOUNTAINEER GRADUATION DAY
On Saturday, December 19, Mountaineer Nation will gather – virtually – to celebrate August and December 2020 graduates and all of their achievements. The virtual ceremonies, one for each school/college, will begin at 11 a.m. ET on December 19th and will be closed captioned. Everyone's invited: graduates, families, current and future students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the University.
How to Participate:
GRADUATES - You'll get to see your name during the ceremony and hear it being announced! Names are announced according to your graduation date - August grads will be first followed by December grads. Your name will also be printed in the commemorative program which will be posted soon.
Before the Event
To prepare for Mountaineer Graduation Day, plan to share your celebration photos with us via social media during and after the virtual ceremony. So, put your thinking caps on now about what you want to share – whether it is a short video or text, or even just a photo. And we would love to see you in your caps and gowns!
During the Virtual Ceremony
On December 19th at 11 a.m. ET, you and your guests are invited to join us for the virtual ceremony. Since the virtual ceremony is a broadcast instead of a video conference, there is no limit on who can attend – so invite as many of your friends and family as you'd like!
We also will have some fun ways for you to engage on social media following the ceremony.
After the Event
Keep celebrating! Continue sharing your photos and home celebrations with the hashtag #WVUgrad.
Family and Friends
