Grand Marshals

The Grand Marshal is an honorary role granted to an outstanding faculty member. The Grand Marshal processes in with the platform party and carries the University mace ahead of the President. The Grand Marshal then taps the mace three times to officially start the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the Grand Marshal retrieves the mace and leads the platform party off stage to end the ceremony.
