Ceremony Information

Graduation Registration
August and December graduates wishing to participate in December Convocation are required to register online. The official RSVP form will be available on this site in mid-November.

Academic Regalia
Graduates must wear caps, gowns, and, if appropriate, hoods. Official WVU academic regalia is only available at the WVU Bookstore. Additional details can be found under Caps & Gowns.

Tickets
Although registration for graduates is required, no tickets will be distributed for December Convocation. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Arrival Time
Graduates must report to the upper-level lobby of the Coliseum’s Red Gate no later than 12:30 p.m., where University Marshals will line up the schools and colleges in assigned areas to be part of a formal processional, which will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Parking and Transportation
Free parking is available at the Coliseum. Please refer to the WVU Campus Map for additional parking.

Length
December Convocation is expected to last two hours.

Accommodations
Special seating is available for guests with physical limitations, as well as guests requiring the services of interpreters on the platform. It is necessary to call WVU’s Office of Disability Services at 304-293-6700 to reserve special seating. Arrangements should be made by noon on Friday, December 7, 2012.
